The assassination of JFK has attracted its share of loonies but few are more persistent than the recurring theme of UFOs and the assassination, which stems mainly from the fact that the U.S. Air Force and the CIA used UFO’s as a cover for the early development of the U2 and other special advanced air craft and weapons systems.

So the association is not just a draw for loonies, but a subject worthy of attention and study because if the assassination of President Kennedy was a covert intelligence operation, one way to identify its participants is to study other connected covert operations that occurred before and since and the U2 and the use of UFOs to cover the U2 project is just one, with the Bay of Pigs, the Cuban Missile Crisis, the Houma Bunker Raid and the Venezuela Arms Cache operations dovetail with the Dealey Plaza operation.

Forget the loonies and “UFO conspiracy theorists” and the issue of whether UFOs exist and just look at the UFO connections to Dealey Plaza beginning with John Crisman, a witness to one of the first widely reported UFO encounters, some of which was filmed.

Chrisman went on to be a Dealey Plaza suspect who figures prominently in Jim Garrison’s New Orleans investigation, while the films of Chrisman’s UFOs were viewed by the U.S. Navy Photo Interpretation (NPIC), whose photo specialists, led by Art Lundahl, concluded the UFOs in the films could not be explained.

The CIA liked what the Navy guys were doing and hired Lundahl to begin the CIA’s own National Photo Interpretation Center – which analysized the U2 photos of Cuba and identified the Soviet missiles that set off the crisis.

UFOs were used to explain sightings of the U2 and often served as a useful cover for the spy plane, and UFOs were used to ridicule and dismiss serious critical analysis of the Kennedy assassination, branding all conspiracy theorists with the UFO moniker.

A few examples of this can be found in such carefully constructed but fake documents – the Marilyn Monroe – Dorothy Kilgallen document – known as the Speriglio document – after Monroe biographer Mike Speriglio, who first made the document public.

And the SS-CIA  document that was ostensibly released as part of the Zipper Documents in the book Regicide, by Gregory Douglas, who is known to have forged records in the past and whose alleged associate – was a real CIA intelligence officer and Col. Phillip Corso.

Corso himself was involved in special advanced projects research and is the author of a number of books including “The Day After Roswell,” which reportedly documents how the military and CIA distributed technology recovered from the UFO that crashed at Roswell so it could be developed by US defense industry companies, but also includes other interesting facts worth reviewing, including Corso’s illegally sharing U2 photos of Soviet missiles in Cuba with New York Republican Senator Kenneth Keating, who opposed RFK for election and was close friends with TV reporter Lisa Howard, a key link in the JFK – Castro backchannel negotiations.

Rather than extra-terrestrial technologies, its more likely they came from Project Moon Dust - which is said to have been a genuine U.S. intelligence operation "\designed to capture, understand and exploit oversees advanced technologies, such as Soviet spy-satellites."

When I interviewed Arthur Young at his suburban Philadelphia farm shortly before he died, he did my astrology chart while I interviewed him at length on tape recorder. Young was the brilliant inventor of the Bell Helicopter and third husband of Ruth Forbes Paine Young, Michael Paine’s mother.

During the course of our conversation, Young asked me if I was an alien – and at first I thought he might mean an Irish immigrant or something, but then he asked if I was from the Pleadies, and was kind of disappointed I wasn’t from another galaxy. 

The Pleadies Young explained to me, were a few million light years away but Pleadians have been visiting us for years on their "Beam Ships," which they park just outside our solar system and commute via flying saucers, and were living among us to study us today.

Realy? I said incredulously, but he insisted it was all well documented, and went to his vast book shelf in the adjoining room and pulled out a hardbound book – UFO Contact from the Pleiades – A Supplementary Report – The Report of Outgoing Contact – (1989) by Lt. Col. Wendelle C. Stevens USAF (Ret.), which included photos of Pleadians, including one enchanting blonde babe.

When I got home I located Col. Stevens in Arizona and called him on the phone. Yes, he said, he was the author of the book and where did I hear about it? – Arthur Young – Of course, Arthur was an ace in his book, and if Author was my friend he would talk to me.

In response to my questions Col. Stevens said that he was a US Air Force Colonel in the 1960s, assigned to Project Blue Book at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio, (where I went to college). 

Who was his commanding officer?

Why that would be General Charles Pearre Cabell –  the commander of the Air Force during the Bay of Pigs invasion and brother of the mayor of Dallas, Texas at the time of the assassination.

"In May 1945, General Cabell was assigned to Air Force headquarters, where he became chief of the Strategy and Policy Division in the Office of the Assistant Chief of Air Staff for Plans. In December 1945 he was assigned with the Military Staff Committee of the United Nations, and after attending the London Conference, remained on duty with the United Nations in New York, as deputy and later as U.S. Air Force Representative on the Military Staff Committee. "

"General Cabell was assigned to Air Force Headquarters in August 1957 as special assistant to the assistant chief of air staff for plans, and the following two months served as acting deputy to the director (designate) of the Joint Staff. In November 1947 Major General Cabell became chief of the Air Intelligence Requirements Division in the Office of the Director of Intelligence. On May 15, 1948, he was appointed director of intelligence of the U.S. Air Force. On Nov. 1, 1951, General Cabell was named director of the joint staff in the Office of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Lieutenant General Cabell was sworn in as deputy director of Central Intelligence on April 23, 1953."

Now why would his official bio end in 1953 when he didn't retire until 1962?

On April 23, 1953, while still an active air force officer, he was appointed deputy director of the CIA. In 1956, along with the CIA'sRichard Bissell, he flew to Bonn, to brief the West German Chancellor, Konrad Adenauer, on the U-2 program. Adenauer allowed U-2 planes, pilots, and support teams to be based atWiesbaden. He was promoted to full general in 1958.

Cabell became Deputy Director of CIA under Allen Dulles. He was forced by President Kennedy to resign, on January 31, 1962, following the failure of the Bay of Pigs Invasion.[2] Cabell's brother,Earle Cabell, was Mayor of Dallas when Kennedy visited that city and was assassinated, on November 22, 1963.

Legacy and death

The Washington Post revealed in 1973 that New Orleans District Attorney Jim Garrison was preparing as late as March 1971 to accuse Charles Cabell of conspiracy in the Kennedy assassination, although he had no evidence.

So I ask you – do all of these UFO connections to Dealey Plaza come from Looney-Conspiracy Theorists who can easily be dismissed or do they actually stem from or lead to some covert psychological warfare operation that is somehow used to cover or conceal real operations?

JFK’s Assassin - Patsy or Jackel?

The Costa Garves movie “Z,” David Atlee Philllp’s book “The Carlos Contract” and Fredrick Forthsite’s “Day of the Jackal” all give good examples of how a proper counter-intelligence investigation is conducted against political assassins who utilize covert operational techniques to conduct their work.

In each case one man is made responsible for the job and he recruits a small crew of dedicated assistants, each with their own specialty, to assist hm, and in each case the investigation is penetrated by the assassin himself.

The film “Z” takes place in Greece where a prosecutor manages to identify and arrest assassins, despite their high political connections and influence, while Forthsite’s novel “Day of the Jackal” and subsequent movie concerns the real life efforts to kill the French president, who escaped six assassination attempts, and the inspector who leads the effort to capture the lone wolf jackal, who like the real Carlos the Jackal, escaped the law by living with girl friends he would pick up at discos.

David Atlee Phillps’ novel “The Carlos Contract” concerns the assignment to kill Carlos the terrorist, also known as the Jackal, who has since been captured and is now in jail.

In each case it is the way in which one man was given the task and proceeds to conduct a proper counter-intelligence investigation – one that has never been fully conducted in the case of the murdered president – JFK.

Unlike a criminal investigation, the purpose of which is to develop suspects and evidence in criminal cases, counter-intelligence CI – investigations don’t proceed to court, but are intended to provide security, identify suspects and new information and determine the truth.

Sometimes crimes are even committed in conducting CI investigations  -  such as breaking and entering – a black bag job they call it in their parlance, which is what Watergate was all about, and tapping phone and offices but also includes finding out everything you can about targeted suspects, including a review of all open source records and going through their garbage. That’s one thing that David Phillips has his characters do in their quest to get Carlos, and something that A. J. Weberman did to his Village neighbor Bob Dylan. Weberman also wrote the radically significant book “Coup d’etat” with Michael Canfield.

While there have been a number of private CI investigations of the assassination – all of which concluded there was a conspiracy behind what happened at Dealey Plaza, all of the government CI investigations, including one by the US Marine Corps, have produced no documentary trace of their conclusions.

Once a year a group of law enforcement professionals get together in Philadelphia to consider a case one of them is working on – sometimes historic, sometimes current, each case has its own solution.

When we formed COPA – the Coalition on Political Assassinations in Washington DC in the early 1990s, one of the benefits of such an organization was to have a networking group of assassination researchers who have extensively explored the American political assassinations of the 1960s that can be immediately be put to work investigating any new political assassination as it happens.

In the course of developing suspects on the ground in Dallas Lee Harvey Oswald (LHO) certainly stands out as Suspect Number One – and whether or not he was the patsy or committed the deed alone or in concert with others – Lee Harvey Oswald fits the COP criminal profile. 

When the Secret Service hired a team of psychologists to examine the suspects in all of the cases of all presidential assassinations and attempted assassinations, they put Oswald in the Lone-nut category and failed to correctly profile him, or even categorize the correct profile at all.

Being from New Jersey where we have developed criminal profiling into a fine art, I thought I would correct the situation by using Oswald as the proto-type for what I have called the Covert Operational Profile – COP.

Those who fit the COP profile standout and are easily identifiable by their use of standard intelligence techniques and covert procedures that betray them – but they don’t tell you who the COP is working for, just that he is one and fits that particular profile.

COPs must be trained in these techniques and procedures, and are connected to a private or government intelligence agency or network through a case officer cut-out who operates and controls the COP, whether he be an asset, agent or operative.

COPs are usually trained by the U.S. military, and maintain their relationship with their department through the Reserves or a case officer they report to.

COPs live frugally, use Post Office boxes, keep an apartment apart from their families, are bi-lingual, have lived and worked abroad and are specially trained in communications, codes and ciphers.

Whether Oswald was a Lone Wolf and killed the president without any assistance or he was a Patsy in a bigger scheme, whatever happened at Dealey Plaza must be viewed as a Covert Operation and investigated as such.

For a Covert Operation to be uncovered and properly identified it must be countered by a Counter-Intelligence Operation – one similar to those portrayed in Phillips’ book “Carlos Contract” and the films “Z” and “Day of the Jackal.”

In each case the CI investigation was headed by a single man – but as we have seen with what happened to the HSCA, one man who tries to conduct a serious investigation can be squashed by the powers of government.

A private CI investigation however, can be conducted today and quickly accelerated with the use of the networking tools now available.

In his novel, one of the first things David Atlee Phillips has his chief investigator on the Get Carlos squad do is to file a Freedom of Information Act – FOIA request for the CIA file on Carlos, which is quickly and efficiently process by the agency because they can give it a fast track when they want to.

Now with the JFK Act we have the government documents and files on the assassination that allows us to do that aspect of the CI investigation.

To begin with any investigation must focus on Suspect Number One – Lee Harvey Oswald – and whether a Patsy or the only shooter he is a significant but not the most significant character in the Dealey Plaza drama.

If Oswald was the only shooter at Dealey Plaza then he wasn’t the inept loser who couldn’t hold a job but he was in fact – the greatest assassin in history and should be studied and considered as such.

If the president was murdered by a deranged lone nut or a motley conspiracy of CIA and Mafia types, then it wasn’t a coup and those who killed the president didn’t take over the government or power, but they just facilitated LBJ’s almost accidental assassination..

But if the assassination at Dealey Plaza was a covert intelligence operation and thus a conspiracy and coup then the people who killed JFK had to take over the government – and the suspects are limited and can be traced through the files.

The intelligence network that conducted the Dealey Plaza operation can and should be identified and exposed and though justice may never be served, the truth will out.
