Cuban Affairs DOD Sept. 13, 1963 Meeting Minutes

Rex at /Mary Ferrell has broken the April 26 2018 release into agency categories - this is the first one I reviewed under the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

It says that a month before the assassination of JFK they didn't believe that Castro would over retaliate for CIA activities in Cuba or do anything that would invite military retaliation, such as murdering JFK.

CUBAN AFFAIRS IN THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE

Sept. 13, 1963 meeting of the Cuban Project Committee

Pyschological

P. 4

“It was generally agreed at the September 13, 1963 meeting of the Committee that the most likely actions of the Cuban government are those which would not provoke the United States retaliation seriously and immediately endangering the Castro regime.”
